Kennet Badminton Club is a long established club of
approximately 45 members. We play regularly on Thursdays
evenings from 8.00 until 10.30 pm, at the Kennet
Leisure Centre in Thatcham.
Our annual membership fee, which runs from 1st September
to 31st August, is £115 for adults and £60
for juniors.
We also run a Summer Club from 1st May to 31st August
at a cost of £45 for adults and £25 for
juniors, and we take guests on a nightly basis for £4
per session for adults and £2 for juniors.
The club is affiliated to Badminton
England and
The
Newbury & District Badminton Association.
We run Mixed and Level Doubles Teams within the Newbury
League, where we play matches with other Clubs in the
area. We play with feathers on both match and club nights.
Our home match night is Monday where
we play at Elstree
School, Woolhampton. Matches start at 7.45pm and
the match season is from September to April.
The atmosphere at the Club is always
fairly relaxed and friendly and we run various social
events throughout the year.
